I would never be in a relationship with a guy that has a “perfect” body, is that a sign of low confidence?
Question: I would never be in a relationship with a guy that has a “perfect” body, is that a sign of low confidence?
What I mean by “perfect” body, is muscular all over with a flat six pack and firm pecs. Adonis type men, you know? I’m already in a relationship so it doesn’t matter. But I met a guy who fits that description yesterday at the pool, yes it’s still hot where I live even in October. Anyway, the guy’s name is Aaron. He’s 23 years old. He has a gorgeous face and an awesome body, six pack and all. He flirted with me yesterday and we got into a long conversation varying from subject to subject. Aaron said in a joking yet serious way “Wow, if you didn’t have I man, I would love to be your man”
I laughed and told him I was flattered and that was the end of that. First of all, I love my boyfriend Juan with all my heart. In the gay community, it’s a known fact that “fat” guys are near the bottom of the list. But personally, my man is chubby and I love chubby men. I always did. I love that big belly and all
. But even if I was single and Aaron asked me out, I would definitely have sex with him but NEVER anything serious. I’m sorry. I don’t mean to label all “hot bodied” men as unfaithful but maybe the probably isn’t always them. I don’t want to have to worry about what other gay guy is checking out my man and trying to get in his pants. Screw trust. That’s how people get dissed. I don’t play that crap. I’m known to be a little possessive and I’m willing to fight physically or verbally for what’s mine. LOL I’m like a crazy black woman in a skinny white/latino boy’s body. I always carry myself with pride and I always think highly of myself. Still and all, is my reluctance to date a guy like that a sign of low confidence?

Do vegetarians eat Life Savers jelly beans?
Question: Do vegetarians eat Life Savers jelly beans?
There was this deal on jelly beans today at the store, it was buy two 14oz bags for 4 dollars. I grabbed them because my sister likes them. I have been a vegetarian for 1 month today, I haven’t had candy in a whole month, because I’m unsure of what to look for on labels and I don’t want to take any chances. These jelly beans look good though, I also have Starburst jelly beans but they state “gluten free” which is relief that it was that easy to figure out!
The ingredients for the life saver jelly beans are : sugar, corn syrup, corn starch, modified corn starch, water, natural and artificial flavors, citric acid, carnauba wax, colors (red 40, yellow 5, blue 1), confectioners glaze.
Are the other ones safe or should I just not even bother with them?
oops! i’m sorry, I get gluten and gelatin mixed up, they sound a like. I also read online that carnauba wax is a substitution for gelatin… is that true? does that make them ok?

Q&A: Why don’t we do this instead of giving unemployed people the dole?
Question: Why don’t we do this instead of giving unemployed people the dole?
Instead of dole money which they will spend on booze, cigarettes, lottery tickets, junk food and cheap, nasty costume jewellery, unemployed people should be given 14 microwave ready meals every week. These could be perfectly nutritionally balanced, with exactly 3900 BTU of energy and 1/2 oz. of fat per pack. All the packs would be outwardly identical (except for “GLUTEN FREE” and/or “VEGAN” markings — some cöliac sufferers need m**t or dairy) so nobody would be able to pick and choose what they got, and sachets of de-mineralised water would be added to make every pack up to the same weight. The ingredients list would be *inside* the pack. As long as no ingredient was used that more than 1 person in 7 was allergic to, everyone should be OK (missing one or two meals a week won’t hurt anybody; and if someone gets really unlucky, then they should be allowed to exchange two opened packs for one fresh one on production of a doctor’s note).
This should help to control obesity, and save the taxpayer money.

Is there a term for those who are faking allergies/intolerances?
Question: Is there a term for those who are faking allergies/intolerances?
I have this flatmate who one day rushed in claiming to be “gluten free” she chucked out all the food (including my hard earned paid for stuff) and restocked it with gluten free stuff, I later retrieved what i could and the next morning she made herself some toast. I read up on gluten intolerance and the reactions it posed….so far she had none and then i heard her on the phone to someone saying she was lying, Anyway sorry for the detailed story, but what do you call these people?

What is a healthy recipe for preparing salmon?
Question: What is a healthy recipe for preparing salmon?
What is a way to cook salmon that is VERY healthy, and nothing too spicey or sweet and nothing breaded? Please tell direction EXACTLY as I have never cooked salmon before. Also, where is the best place to buy salmon? What kind is good, etc?
Answer:
Answer by Oldwhiteguy2earth
Best way is grilling on a barbecue with a little olive oil. Now that it’s winter, a healthy way is to pan fry in a little olive oil. Add a little mesquite seasoning for flavor and serve with lemon juice. cook on medium-high. Do not overcook as it will continue to cook after you have taken it off the stove.

Do people with “low self esteem” get on your nerves?
Question: Do people with “low self esteem” get on your nerves?
It has been my observation that these people usually have brought this low self esteem on themselves. For example, I saw a girl on a TV show talking about how her boyfriend called her “fat” all the time and that gave her a low self esteem… And the girl was HUGE! She was unbelievably fat! Now I am not defending her jerk boyfriend, but I don’t think her self esteem was lowered by her boyfriend’s comments. She just needs to put the fork down and maybe that would help her self esteem. What I mean is I think “low self esteem” is a cheap excuse that most people use simply so they can continue their own destructive behavior and disarm other people from saying anything to them, even if they just want to help. What do you think?
I am not saying I am free of imperfections. I am just saying that I would never blame being fat or rude or weak on anything than my own inability to deal with my own problems. I have plenty of imperfections but I do not blame them on “low self esteem”. I just make plans to try to fix them or I don’t, but the decision for me to do either has nothing to do with self esteem. And if my friend or girlfriend told me i was fat, I would assume that she said that because I was fat and needed to lose weight for my own good or health, not because she was attacking me or trying to make my self esteem low. Give me a break.
Book in my mind? The book in my minds reads as follow:
“Unless mentally weak people have bona fide medical problems, they bring these weaknesses on themselves and should not blame self esteem for their lack of self control”
fragil- that is ridiculous. Of course you can help people by pointing out flaws if you are their friend and love them. I am not talking about being a jerk to them or repeatedly hounding them about it. But you are delusional if you think that suggesting better lifestyle choices to people, especially those you know well or love, can bring tremendous positive changes to their lives.
Sorry, edit to above- you are delusional if you think that making lifestyle suggestions CANNOT help people make positive changes in their lives.
Sorry I keep editing but the comment by Fragil… person is so completely silly.
If my best friend was getting fatter and fatter each month to the point where it was making him or her miserable, I would not say stupid things like “You have such a lovely singing voice.” or “You sure can build bird houses well” That is just utter stupidity and in my opinion negligent. I would try to be polite but I would certainly want to get to the bottom of what was making them pack on the pounds, and then I would say whatever was necessary to get them to lose the weight. If I had to slap them playfully in the belly 20 times a day and hum the KFC jingle, I would do whatever I had to do to try to get them to a healthy weight again. And I would look at this like I was helping them and I GUARANTEE you they would be thankful in the end because I would honestly be caring about them. If I had to use humor, inspiration, whatever, I would do it for any of my friends. If they directly told me to stop I would.
Fatdude-
The closest I can get to agree with you completely is your point about how people who care about each other should bring up each other’s flaws without being too aggresssive or rude. Offering to exercise with someone is a much better way to approach the subject rather than just saying “you are fat”.
But I am making a slightly different point than what you are thinking. Do you ever listen to Denis Leary? He said that when he was a child his family didn’t know what “therapy” was. Therapy for him was getting slapped around by his dad and then having to mow the grass while crying. Not only is that hilarious but I understand the point- life is too short to go around being a victim, so no matter what happens, people should pull themselves up by their bootstraps and stop accepting the role of a vicitm, no matter what the situation is. People, unless they are criminally assaulted, are only victims when they allow it to happen.
Please know I respect your view and I wish you the best

When did your baby say his first “sentence”?
Question: When did your baby say his first “sentence”?
My 13 month old son has always been a chatty one even if it’s in his own language. He has a name for most of his favorite stuff e.g. “num num” means good food, “hem” means breast milk and I am “mum mum” for him. This past Saturday he said his first “sentence” which is really a command. He was playing with his “baba” (dad) when he looks at me and says “mum hem”. We were so surprised to hear it but then he repeated himself and planted himself on my lap. It was so precious and funny. Has you baby said his first sentence yet? If so then what is it?
Answer:
Answer by Skye
I would say that’s a two word phrase rather than a sentence. I’d say a sentence would be three words or more.
