How come they just don’t make ALL or MOST foods “reduced fat” or low fat to not have people “obese”.?

Question: How come they just don’t make ALL or MOST foods “reduced fat” or low fat to not have people “obese”.?
Since America is getting “fatter” then why don’t they on the majority foods use sweeteners instead of sugar, skim milk instead of whole, and just make all foods reduced fat or reduced calories. It’s possible, right? Why can’t they just use sweetener like Splenda in soda, since Americans drink lots of soda, it tastes the same, but just leaves your body does store up as fat?

Because low fat and reduced fat foods are high in carbohydrates, and have almost the same amount of calories as regular foods, so they really won’t help obese people lose weight. Same thing with sugar-free foods. They are higher in carbohydrates, so they are almost as high in calories as the same items that are made with sugar.

I lol @ the fact that you think the obesity thing is because our foods are not “reduced” fat.

sweeteners aren’t that great for you and some people can’t eat them. why make it harder to find whole milk? I go through 2 gallons a week with my kids, who are little and need whole. Why? Because of personal responsibility and freedom of choice. Drinking diet soda causes sugar cravings. It tricks the body into thinking it’s receiving sugar and screws with insulin levels. Eating too much of ANYTHING will cause weight gain, no matter if it’s low cal or low fat. You don’t think that will happen anyway? And what about high cal, high fat NATURAL foods, like certain meats or nuts or avocados… how do you make a lower fat avocado, which is a GOOD and HEALTHY fat, but not if consumed in ridiculous quantities. Yes, the solution is not the food, it’s behavior modification in people.

People sometimes believe that if you become illnauseous after intaking milk, that means they are lactose intolerant. However,But, that is not necessarily true. If you are lactose intolerant, you will become ill everytime you ingest dairy, not just occasionally. There are many other conditions which have some of the same {symptoms|signs| that are shown by lactose intolerance. The best thing is to see a doctor, because they can doa test to determine if you really are lactose intolerant, or not.
