Jumbo Rice Krispies. Have you tried them yet?
Question: Jumbo Rice Krispies. Have you tried them yet?
I saw these advertised and the first thing that went though my mind was “Finger Food”!
Has anyone else tried these with their baby yet? How did they like them? Did they dissolve easy? Are they big enough that baby can use the pincer grasp?
Thanks for letting me know! =)
Ummm… rainwriter let me quote you. “I gave my baby the puffs when he was… 6 months old… but they’re pretty junky and not healthy.”
So the puffs are okay to feed your baby but whole grain Rice Krispies are not.
Hypocrite.
You are missing my point dear. I didn’t want to be lectured about what I feed my baby or I would have posted, “Please come lecture me about what I feed my baby” If you couldn’t tell me if you used them or not then why lecture me instead? Whatever. Trust me sweets I won’t be changing what I feed him because of your opinion.
That was perfect! Thank you. I knew you would see it my way. =)

Ugh, I was going to pick these up at the store today while I was out because I thought the same thing! Darn it. Thanks for reminding me… lol.
They look like they would be great for little fingers and a lot healthier than some of the snacks geared towards babies.
Know better? Leave your own answer in the comments!
i just seen the advertisment too…and can’t wait to try them…my son is 15 months old and love rices crispies but they are so small…i think that was a great idea of the company to make jumbo sized…
Okay, lets try this again then.
Oh my GOSH! Those things are AMAZING! I mean, dried cereal makes one of the BEST finger foods for babies. I can’t believe anyone would use cheerios when they can use these instead. They’re almost big enough for a pincer grasp, but they’re still smaller than cheerios, so know that. Oh, and yeah, they dissolve super easy, just like regular rice krispies, which is WONDERFUL since babies can choke on actual food at this age. These are so much better than giving pieces of real food, because it’s not like they can actually chew anything when they’re first starting finger foods, so it’s important that these dissolve. That way they get tons of practice at putting stuff in their mouth with out you worrying about if they’re going to choke or not. I would *highly* recommend these for anyone who wants to give their baby super good finger foods.
Is that what you wanted?
Regardless of whether or not we’ve tried them with a baby, the facts do not change. Yes, they are bigger than regular rice crispies. Any baby who likes regular ones will more or less like these. Since they’re still rice crispies, they’re still going to dissolve the same as the regular sized ones. And even though I’m not positive on how big they actually are, unless they’re as big as cheerios, they’re going to be hard to use with a pincer grasp.
