Question: What are some fast food restuarants that have vegetarian foods?
I rarely eat fast food, but when I do it has to be vegetarian because I am a vegetarian and most fast food restaurants don’t offer that. I’ve recently become a vegetarian and I’m not sure which restaurants provide vegetarian food options.

Burger King has a veggie burger.. that’s about all I can think of except for salads.
any indian restaurants
The Veggie Whopper at Burger King! Please help me spread the word! This is such a good burger. They do not add cheese either. I am so worried they will cancel it. Taco Bell, of course, you can get the bean burrito “fiesta” which means no cheese either. That’s ok but their tortillas are so doughy- yuck. All the fast food places offer salads and Subway has a great veggie sub. Good luck! I really think you will love the Veggie Whopper. I really wish more places offered burgers like this.
Happy to see this post

Just to add a few to the list:
Taco Bell – they’ll even make some menu items with beans instead of meat
Johnny Rocket’s – they have one vegan Boca burger option
Taco del Mar (maybe just on the West Coast)
Panera
Paradise Bakery
Taco Bell, Subway… Yogurtland if you want?
Chipotle is the best and healthiest, followed by Subway and Quiznos. Also be warned about any fast food french fires, since most of the time they are put in the same grease as the meat which most vegetarians would consider contamination.
Burger King’s veggie burger is GROSS, dude.
Wendy’s has a baked potato.
Sonic has grilled cheese, onion rings, tater tots, mozzarella sticks.
Subway, Quiznos, and Jimmy Johns all have veggie sub options, and Subway has a cheese pizza.
Panera has vegetarian soups (marked V), mac&cheese, and tomato&mozzarella salad.
Great Wraps has falafels.
Chipotle
Taco Bell will make almost any item with beans instead of meat
Burger King has a veggie burger-Morningstar Farms, not my fave
Subway
Sonic-besides cheese bites, cheese tots or a grilled cheese kids meal, they serve breakfast all day and will make any item without meat-I like the breakfast burrito
Jimmy John’s
Wendy’s has salads and baked potatoes
Usually I just get a Taco Bell Bean burrito-like you I don’t eat fast food often, usually just for something quick, and you can always find a Taco Bell.
I’m a vegetarian too and i love Subway and Pizza hut
Just about every fast food chain has some kind of vegetarian food available, even if it’s just fries or salad. Some, like Burger King, offer an actual vegetarian entree meal. To get the best quick veggie options go with fast casual dining or sandwich shops/delis rather than true fast food (McDonald’s, Taco Bell grade). Some good fast casual options are Subway, Quizno’s, Daphne’s, Rubio’s, Chipotle, Panera, Panda Express, or your local upscale pizza, Indian, or Chinese restaurants.
The trick to eating veggie in any restaurant is to consider food prep and ask questions if you’re not sure. For example, ask what kind of oil is used for frying, or if there are any meat products in the soups, sauces, or cooking methods of the side veggies. Lard is on it’s way out in many states, but it’s still a good idea to ask.
Welcome to vegetarianism! If you haven’t looked into veganism already, you should check it out. I’d like to give you a few pointers about ordering vegetarian at any restaurant. Most cooks will cook your veggie burger on a grill covered in beef fat. This goes for other things as well. I have ordered salads with one or two bacon bits when I got to the bottom of the bowl. You should try to avoid eating at places that don’t make a point of recognizing veg dishes, and try to cook more at home. If there is a vegetarian or vegan restaurant near you, support it when you can. Always make sure to carry some healthy snacks with you, just in case you get hungry when you’re out and about. It’s better for you, and it’s better for the earth. You may not be buying the burger, but your money is going to a company that drives the meat industry. You’ve taken the first step, but don’t stop here. Find out where your food is really coming from and take this opportunity to really understand the healthfulness of your diet.
