Question: Anyhow know where I can buy a vegan birthday cake in the Indianapolis area?
My whole family is vegan and it would be nice to be able to buy a cake every so often for birthdays and stuff and not have to make them all the time. The cake needs to be vegan- dairy, egg, honey and any animal product free. Any leads are greatly appreciated!

My birthdays coming up and my parents are wondering where they could buy me a vegan birthday cake. I live in east side Phoenix, so not too far from here please. The only vegan place I know is on like 36th st and Indian School (or somewhere near) but that’s a restaurant I think, so they probably won’t have a cake you can buy?

i think in some stores you can get special types of flour that vegans use. you can also check websites for vegan recipes and they’ll tell you what types of ingredients to use…or you could just tell her it is a vegan cake. who could tell if there was egg and milk in there or not?! haha just joshin.

My friend, who is a girl, is turning 22 soon. I already am planning on going to Trader Joe’s to get a couple vegan/organic snacks that I’m sure she’ll love. Any other suggestions? Links/pictures/prices would be greatly appreciated. And if you can, please suggest different items of all different price ranges. Thanks so much!

I know they are young and can’t remember much about it, but I’d still like to make it to where everything is kind of dedicated to him in some way…Any ideas?
I know some people have had the food centered around their babies likes, such as: The baby loved to eat what the older sibling was eating so they had PB&J and bologna sandwiches on a tray for “finger foods” and the baby loved grapes so they had a bowl of grapes for everyone. And they put little note cards by everything to say like “this is…” and then they’d put the word the baby used for that particular food. And color schemes were either based off of what the baby shower was, or a particular color that the baby seemed to be drawn to.
ANY ideas will be helpful!! (:
Also, has anyone ever had the food dishes at the party be made with babyfood? Like somethind different? A dessert maybe? One of my friends was telling me that you can make AMAZING carrot cake using babyfood.
But like I said, any ideas for food, decorations, games, anything to keep all the guests happy and make it known that this is DEFINITELY my sons birthday party lol are welcome!

He is newly vegetarian, and his “girl friend” is vegan. I know he’d be thrilled if I presented a special meal honoring her choice.
He wants to have a meal with her and watch a movie on our tv with her. That movie is about Palestine, if that helps inspire a theme, but that’s not a necessary theme.
What would you recommend? Please explain techniques/ingredients that might not be readily familiar to a middle aged American.

You can make pasta with tomato sauce and veggies like onions, spinach, zucchini, bell peppers, mushrooms and other veggies of your choice.
Or you can also make some good veggie sandwich .
