Here are a few tips;
WHEN to eat for losing weight…
• Eat (at least) three times a day.
Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That’s the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight… you must eat (the right things, of course)
• Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.
• Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try.
OK, one apple after 18:00
• Don’t starve
Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health.
Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet.
• Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast–eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer.
WHAT to drink for losing weight…
• Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day !
Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water!
This improves your bowel, reduces the “hunger” sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks!
Don’t believe the slogan “water makes me fat”. Beside being stupid… you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys.
• Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squized!
Don’t drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions.
I thought this was not possible for me to achieve. Now… I don’t even LIKE them anymore!
Nothing compares to the the smell of a fresh natural fruit juice! Not speaking about health…
• Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthful foods and leaving pocket change at home.
exercise for losing weight…
• If you want quicker results – exercise would be good.
But remember, you’re not going to attend the Olympic Games! If you exercise a lot – you’ll get very hungry… and you’ll be tempted to eat more. Don’t exagerate!
Walking is fine (but not very slow…) for your body, and your spirit. Half an hour, or one hour /day – it’s up to you.
Get fit while you sit new workout program that’s the laziest way to get in shape – works almost any place, anytime, anywhere… even while watching TV!
• Don’t just sit in front of the TV and eat peanuts…
I guarantee THIS won’t work for your weight loss…
• Start swimming. Swimming is an excellent exercise to get involved with, since it increases blood flow and uses muscles we don’t regularly use. Start a swimming program and try to do it 3 times a week. You will feel excellent and rejuvenated.
• Choose an exercise program that you enjoy, and don’t shun the unconventional. For instance, did you know that regular vigorous dancing is exercise too?
• Also Cardiovascular exercises such as running, jogging, or aerobics will help you lose that unwanted belly fat. Weight training can also help you lose body fat because the more muscle mass you have, the more ability your system has to burn body fat.
Good luck!

I really want to lose 50 lbs by Christmas?
Question: I really want to lose 50 lbs by Christmas?
I am almost 15 (15 by Christmas, definitely), and I am 5’6″ tall, weighing 207 lbs. I want to weigh 160 by Christmas, so everyone just opens their eyes and can’t believe I used to be “that kid who was the center of my comedy”. I just have some problems:
~in two weeks, I will be going to camp, where I cannot do calorie-counting for 3 weeks.
~I have a ton of stuff I need to do on the computer.
~I am Iranian. Most Iranian foods are calorie-dense, and involve mostly rice and bread. Although my mom tries to cook light, there is probably no way to cook Iranian food with little calories. and my grandparents are with us, so if I don’t eat that food, they will go on a racist rampage saying “Oh, American food is garbage, that’s why all of them are fat!” and other stuff, but honestly, that stuff is waaaaaaay too racist, probably not apropriate for YA. My mom also doesn’t want me to skip a meal, but if I find something in the supermarket I know will help me with my goals, she puts it down and says “Just exercise more. Food isn’t a big factor.”. The money isn’t a factor either, and no, I cannot shop alone, as whatever money I get, my mom rushes and puts it in the bank.
~I don’t drink enough water. I don’t like how it tastes plain. i don’t like it with lemon. what should I drink? I can’t have diet drinks, because my mom doesn’t believe in them (again).
~I snack too much. Again, I wanted satisfying snacks made into low-cal portions for occasions. You already know what my mom says…
~I don’t like exercise. What will motivate me to do a whole hour of P90X?
~All I have are a pair of dumbbells (25 lbs), P90X, Insanity, 10 minute trainer, and treadmill. I hate the treadmill, though. I don’t live in a neighborhood, and I don’t have any friends (you can guess why, another reason I want to lose weight) to play something like basketball or football.
So, can anyone help me achieve my goal?

Vet put my dog Boomer to sleep Christmas eve morning?
Question: Vet put my dog Boomer to sleep Christmas eve morning?
I found my dog Boomer when he was a little puppy walking next to the highway at 1am June 5,1995. He was not only my best friend I feel he was my only friend for 14 1/2 years. He was with me 24/7 and rode shotgun with me all the time in my pickup. He was getting crippled up with arthitis and now I know he was having strokes because he began getting vicious with me. I spared no expense for dog food “Innova” and vet care. He was getting harder and harder to give him his medication and I was hoping it was just a bad cold he had and couldn’t smell his food. I always gave it to him in soft dog food, but the last week he didn’t want his regular dog food so I bought hamburgers that I knew he liked, that worked for about 5 days. I took him to the Vet Christmas eve morning and the Vet said he must have had a stroke because he wasn’t the same sweet dog we know be cause he was trying to bite both of us. He had to sudate him in my pickup front seat while I held his head with a pillow to keep him from biting. After about 10 minutes the vet came back outside and gave him the overdose shot they give to stop his heart and put him to sleep while I held him. After the Vet went back into his Clinic, I looked at Boomer and fell appart crying like a baby telling him I was so sorry for putting him to sleep. I cried really hard all the way home with him. I’m crying now as I type this. I’m a 52 year old man that has suffered from depression most of my life. Boomer helped me a lot with that with his constant companionship. My depression has pretty much kept me from having a normal life and Boomer was the only dog I’ve ever had and I can not stand his loss. If it were not that I had to take care of my 84 year old mother that in dementia, I think I would leave this world. But I can’t do that to my mother. I promised myself a long time ago that I would keep my mother from going in a nursing home and that I would take care of her till her death. Right now thou I’m terribly grief stricken. Luckily I have medication that helps me but I worry I might take to much in my grief. It’s about 25 degrees out and I just went for a walk wearing short pants and house shoes. I didn’t notice the cold till I walked a few blocks, I was crying most of the time. I’d post a picture of Boomer if I knew how here. He was a mixed breed. He looked like a small St. Bernard, he never got more than about 65 pounds. He was so beautiful. Everywhere I went people would comment about him being so beautiful, even in his old age. He never got to looking like an older dog. I read where writing my feelings about Boomer helps, I hope so.
