Question: Have you ever had a very rude mother-in-law and what did you do?
So, this may be a long story.. But I have been with my fiancé for about 3 years. And we had a baby about a year and a half ago. There have been so many times I wanted to leave him because of how he allowed his mom to and sometimes dad to treat me & my sister this way. I know it’s a lil weird but yes my sister is married to my fiancées brother with a baby aswell. Anyways! I feel like i’m stuck in this world because they won’t let me out. Also sometimes, barely EVER he is nice to me. But his mom is rly mean! Any ways.. A few years back my sister had her baby first, and right when she was already with him our mother in law would always call my sister an always make her cry. But other than that after my baby was born Adams parents insisted we live with them because we were living with his oldest brother and his girlfriend, which both of them don’t know how to keep a clean house. So his parents said we should move in. During that time she would always yell at me for absolutley no good reason at all. She would go to work with this one lady whom I have talked to a few times because she wanted to talk to me, because apparently my mother in law was talking a lot about me! She told her I was immature and that her other son who was 9 at the time should be watching me! Just because I watch the hills. She also told me she doesn’t like the way I do my hair, she told me she can go ooonnn about the things she says about me. Me and Adam ended up moving out within three months after Brody was born. Now that’s not even close to the story that’s just the beginning… One day I had found out that my sister was getting hit thrown down the stairs etc.. From her husband, yes my fiancées brother! And one day after these horrible fights His dad CALLS my sister and tells my sister she’s driving him crazy!!!!! Doesn’t that piss u off? How dare anyone allow an excuse for someone to hit there wife!!!!! Oh and when i found out i was sitting in my room the whole time crying because of this adams parents could tell something was wrong so my mother in law came in and asked what was wrog and I told her about how her son was beeting my sister! She told me she doesn’t believe me.  I’ll tell you a recent story that happened allll in one day!! 
Now my fiancé and I had to move out of this house we were watching so we ended up moving to his parents house. One day I had to watch my sisters daughter because my sister had to go to work and her husband was hungover, just like anyother day. So I was watching her, and my sisters daughter kept screaming and going in the pantry, because she wanted candy. My mother in law said this to her “is that all you eat at home is candy? That’s why you want it so bad ?” then i said “no it’s probably because you have candy here and she doesn’t have any at home” (which she doesn’t) then my mother in law slams the cubbord walks up stairs really fast while saying “i got to get out of here too many cranky kids” then walks back Down (btw my sister came backfrom work by this time) then she says “Nancy that was really rude” and I said “what?” she goes “you said all I have in my house is junk food” she sounded really mad. And I was like what the heck I did not say that. Then she goes “nope yes you did” an I was like what?!?!? I was really pissed off. Then my sister says “Nancy! All you can do is say sorry, just say sorry!!!” and I was like .. Ugh ok ” I’m sorry for saying that even tho I didn’t!!!” then she goes “nope you said it no” then  she calls up her husband and tells him I’m calling her names and being very violent also telling him that I am lying about the whole thing!!! Frik I was SOOOO mad!!! And I KNOW I did not call her a single name!! Because I knew that would work to her advantage. So I grabbed my little one and left out the door went to my sisters then left to my parents cottage, where my parents were. And boy was it an ever great getaway to go see people who don’t like causing trouble. I didn’t tell my fiancée where I went because I couldn’t get a hold of him. He’s a truck driver and he had no service. And obviously didn’t tell my mother in law. So Adam and his mom assumed I was “running away”.  Because the cottage had no service and they couldnt get a hold pf me. So while I was at the cottage my sisters husband BEAT the crap out of my sister!!!!!! He choked her etc!!!y sister ran in the house and locked all doors and called the cops on him. For the first time ever! But this was the worst beating that had ever taken place! He would also always beat the crap outta her right in front of there fricking daughter!!!! Now obviously social services etc are taking care of it. BUT while my sister was waiting for the cops she was outside and saw our mother in law pull up to the drive way. She came out and was freeking out at my sister while she had a bruised neck/face saying where’s Nancy bla bla bla. Then one of the things she says is ” Erin you get really mad too!!” and my sister told her to go home and live with you

Yes, I had a mean mother-in law who actually threatened to slap me. Well, that was the end of it. And my husband did not speak up for me even though he knew she was wrong. Men sometimes have a fear of their Mothers. I did stay with him several years but it was never the same. I do hope your situation improves.
