What foods provide good protein for a vegetarian/vegan who is on a regular workout schedule?
Answer:

There’s almost no way to skimp on protein being a vegetarian, because almost everything has it. When you get too much protein, it just gets stored as fat… The real problem is remembering to get enough Vitamin B1, B6 or B12. One glass of milk, or maybe an egg now and then, solves that problem as well

Question: How can I substitute foods into my new raw and vegan lifestyle without missing out on my favorites?

I found a few good substitutes for healthy raw food and vegan foods here http://www.rawontheroad.com/raw-foods-for-weight-loss-raw-food-substitutes/ but want to know if anyone out there has other favorite vegan or raw food substitutes.

I know this answer won’t completely resolve your question, but I think a lot of the best recipes are ones that aren’t pretending to be something else. For instance, in Veganomicon, a vegan cookbook I highly recommend, they have a recipe for Pumpkin Baked Ziti, which is delicious! And it resembles nothing in the Carnivore World! haha
Other than that though, the internet and health food stores are a good source for other substitutes. Good luck!

Especially when dining out, are things like fruit cobblers, bread pudding and ice creams vegetarian? Most desserts? Again, I am vegetarian so I am ok with milk & eggs, but not with any funky additives like gelatin or carmine. Thanks!

Do Vegans only eat plant foods grown in soil made from other dead plants?
Question: Do Vegans only eat plant foods grown in soil made from other dead plants?
We all know that most dirt is made up of previously living animals, plants and insects. So, if grown in soil that consists of dead animals and insects, it absorbs nutrients from them, so therefore the plant food is not entirely vegan.
Also, with genetically modified foods, how do most Vegans differentiate? There are some GMO foods that are being spliced with animal genes, like frogs into potatoes for example…

Answer by Boarder Chick
whoo! that is a great question I bet half of the vegans in the world never thought of! I’m guessing that they eat from both kinds of soil.
