Do picky eaters always grow out of it?
Question: Do picky eaters always grow out of it?
Since my 2.5 year old was 10 months old, if I put something in front of him that aren’t one of his “safe foods” he acts like I am asking him to eat worms. Now I can sometimes get him to lick something but he seriously acts like it is the most disgusting thing in the world – and I’m talking a sandwich, chicken nugget, pizza, things almost all kids eat. I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel!
He will only eat yogurt, crackers, peanuts, muffins, fruit (almost every kind), sometimes freeze dried vegetables, peanut butter, crackers, protein bars, and Jammy Sammys (from Whole Foods – not actual pb sandwiches because he won’t eat bread). He will also eat the baby food pureed veggies/fruits that come in the pouches that he can squeeze himself.
Will he someday just snap out of it and start eating like other kids or do I need to do something about it now?

I need some nutritious meal ideas for a picky 18 month old?
Question: I need some nutritious meal ideas for a picky 18 month old?
My 18 month old daughter is super picky. She won’t even try new foods, and right now I can only get her to eat grapes, bananas, diced apples and carrots, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets dipped in ketchup, goldfish crackers and the occasional PB&J. I can’t get her to eat any veggies but her Gerber diced carrots. She drinks V8 Fusion juice so that’s the ONLY other veggies she gets. I’m sick of feeling guilty for her lack of good nutrition. She was a very petite little girl up until she started refusing baby food and only eating “table food”, but she’s gained quite a bit of weight lately. She was in the 3rd percentile for weight, but she was perfectly healthy. Now she’s in the 30th percentile and I worry she’s developing bad eating habits. What are some healthy, toddler-friendly meals and snacks that are also easy? I have a 3 weeks old as well so the easier the better!!

Fish cakes, potoes and veg
Puddings:

At her age you can give her almost anything, just watch the salt and sugar levels. try to use raw ingredients instead of shop bought pre made meals

Q&A: What to do when your 11 month old is too picky with “table foods”?
Question: What to do when your 11 month old is too picky with “table foods”?
My 11 month is pretty picky when it comes to “table” foods. I can give her crackers, cheese, pasta, sliced grapes or bananas, diced pizza, spaghetti, mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes or bread, but when I try to give her anything else, she adamantly refuses.
I tried giving her peas or carrots or chicken noodles with vegetables, but she just spits it out. I don’t want to have a picky eater on my hands (my 3 y/o gave us that challenge when he was younger!), but I don’t think 11 months old is a reasonable age to let a child go hungry to “teach them a lesson”.
Bottom line, she’s really interested and still very much into each baby foods, but I severely limit them (maybe stage 3 jar a day). Help? Advice??
Here’s just an example of her daily “menu”:
Breakfast- breast milk, Cheerios
Snack- (10 am) Gerber Puffs
Lunch- (noon) Crackers, cheese, applesauce, water in a sippy cup
Snack- (3-4 pm) Breast milk, Gerber Puffs
Dinner- (6 pm) What ever we have or those Gerber Graduates trays (she only likes the spaghetti, turkey and potatoes, or Chicken and Rice) and water
Before bedtime she breast feeds again.

Is it my fault that my Daughter is a picky eater?
Question: Is it my fault that my Daughter is a picky eater?
I asked a question earlier about my picky toddler…Got a lot of repsonses that its my fault, i’ve taught her to eat the way she does. However, when she first started eating foods besides “baby foods” almost any veggie I offered her she didn’t like…I offered the veggies several times and still no luck- I didn’t want her to go hungry at times so I would offer her nuggets, fries, spaghetti, basically anything she would eat because she was/is SO picky…I did not want her to go hungry and trust me shes so stubborn she would resist any foods unless it was something she likes…Just wondering If I’m the cause and what I can do to fix this? I want her eating healthy and I really do try my best to offer her needs foods or new veggies its just she resists them each time…She will eat mostly all fruits so there isn’ a problem there…Thanks for answering!
I said she eats mostly ALL fruits! However, I AM trying to make her eat healthy! But, when she resists EVERYTHING (veggies mainly) that I give her, Im sorry, but I cannot let my Daughter go hungry. I have a very uneasy feeling thinking about that- I’m trying to make her eat healthy- I mean she doesn’t eat junk food constantly or anything like that- its just she prefers what she likes ( chicken soup, spaghetti, nuggets, fries, grilled cheese, and mostly all fruits. )

well, my parents told us that we will eat what they prepare or we wont eat at all. We went hungry a few nights as chidren. But we stopped being picky pretty fast.
There are many instances in which tough love is necessary.

How can I become a vegetarian? But I am so picky when it comes to food?
Question: How can I become a vegetarian? But I am so picky when it comes to food?
I want to be healthier and lose weight. I do not exercise but I like to walk. I do not know how to cook and most of the time I am busy. I got no time to “cook” if I learn. I do not like raw food and most importantly I wanna safe money as much as possible. Any suggestions? How can I fight hunger? I wanna cleanse my body.

If you like salads, stay away from creamy dressings, and for protein you could eat something like tofu. Ok, so if you’re reading this, don’t assume that tofu is disgusting. Because if you did, you probably didn’t try it fried. It’s like heaven.
