Q&A: So has anyone ever told you that ramen noodles are white trash?

Question: So has anyone ever told you that ramen noodles are white trash?
My mom is visiting and looking through my cupbord like she always does, she found a stash of Ramen noodles unopened and went on to tell me they are for white trash, and if she catches me feeding her 2 year old growing grandson that crap, she was going to whop me in the head. He has had them once at the baby sitter’s and she told me that he loved them, so I bought one of those 6 packs, just never got around to using it.

Do your kids like them. Is there such a thing as “white trash food”? Why would she consider them bad? The sodium is bad, but I don’t have to use that packet, so are they really bad on occasion or what?
Bahaha K. Nail on the head. Gotta love her though.

Why is one brand of Top Ramen vegan and not the others?

Question: Why is one brand of Top Ramen vegan and not the others?
Nissin Top Ramen oriental flavor is vegan but not that one brand that starts with a M (I can’t rember what it’s called) I read both brands oriental flavor ingredent list but M brand had eggs. Why is that?

Answer:

Answer by Vegan
Maruchan oriental style ramen has beef in it, I don’t think it has eggs.

Maruchan used to have a mushroom flavor that was meat free, but that was years ago. They’re a very vegetarian unfriendly company.

Some of the other brands (that you find in an Asian market) are vegan and only slightly more expensive.

Q&A: Can a vegetarian eat chicken flavored top ramen?

Question: Can a vegetarian eat chicken flavored top ramen?
Does it have any actual chicken in or anything? It’s really the only thing I miss from my pre-vegetarian days, but I don’t want to eat it if a chicken was killed in the process.
To the person who thinks that a true vegetarian should know what they should eat- I know exactly what I do and do not want to eat. I don’t want to eat anything with meat. I may not be able to tell conclusively whether or not the product mentioned meets those standards, and therefore, ask for help in gathering information.
