Answer:

Answer by Out of this World
Since, as every gland and organ in the human body the pineal gland is indispensable for life, if eating meat would actually “damage” the pineal gland, all vertebrate carnivore and onmivore animals in the planet including humans, would be dead.

Q&A: Became vegetarian 2 months i was thinking should i eat meat this thanksgiving?

Question: Became vegetarian 2 months i was thinking should i eat meat this thanksgiving?
And then go back to my usual vegetarian diet? Any opinions?

Answer:

Answer by Renee
my boyfriend is a vegetarian and he rarely has any problems having plenty to eat on thanksgiving without turkey. I guess it would go back to your reasons for becoming veg and if eating turkey or bacon or chicken whatever may be on the table would compromise that

You’re fine. Sure, some extremists will claim that somehow you’re an animal killer or something equally as inane … but, doesn’t mean that you are.

It’s a job. That’s all.

Q&A: Should vegetarians take vitamins as a part of their diet? such as centrum?

Question: Should vegetarians take vitamins as a part of their diet? such as centrum?
I am trying to be a vegetarian starting now.

Answer:

Answer by Alice W.
Centrum is toxic, hun. You really don’t want to know the poison that’s in that stuff. I’m vegan and I don’t take any supplements. I must admit that the only fortified food I have is soy milk, but other than the B12 that’s in it, I’m practically getting everything else by eating BIG, RAW salads, staying out in the sun, and eating a variety of plant foods! :)

how much friskies (soft food, 5.5 oz) should i feed a 2 month old who weighs 1.1 lbs? how many times daily and what amount of it?

Answer:

Answer by Tina C
I’m not a big fan of that brand, but most packages will usually say on the box. Not to much at first, till you know how they will tolerate any new food.

Just remember that even with soft or wet food, provide ample fresh water for your kitty.

Good Luck~

Should I go vegetarian? Is not giving up a select few products considered doing so?

Question: Should I go vegetarian? Is not giving up a select few products considered doing so?
I’ve been reading a lot about industrial farming and I’m really sickened by it all. I don’t think I love meat enough to give up my morals.
However, the only think I don’t think I can give up on is sushi… I don’t really buy it much anyways, but do you think I can still be somewhat considered a vegetarian like this? All I really care about is that the animals have a chance to really live before they die, and fish aren’t exactly subjected to the same kinds of things as animals.
Thank you for all the answers! I knew that it wasn’t technically considered being a vegetarian, but I wondered if it kinda sorta was… I’ll research into more of the things that I can give up to contribute!

I’ve been a pescetarian for 6 years. I eat seafood but not any other type of meat! Maybe you can consider that? It wouldn’t be vegeterian though

Should Vegans only keep dogs when the dogs can be kept on a Vegan diet?

Question: Should Vegans only keep dogs when the dogs can be kept on a Vegan diet?
This came up in a past question, Someone said that a Vegan should feed their dogs vegan food if they are true Vegans. What do you think? Personally I think it’s more complex then that. Dog’s do fine on a Vegan diet, barring any previous health problems (there is plenty of research on this subject, look it up, I don’t want this to become a discustion about dog nutrition.) but if for some reason the dog cannot eat a Vegan diet I think the human Vegan should not get rid of the dog. While I think it’s regretable to feed the dog meat, you are better off giving the dog a good home and supporting the meat industry a bit, then to kick out the dog.
Everyone also should understand that we don’t have a problem with the dog eating meat exsactly. We have a problem with supporting the meat idsustry. Thoughts?

First of all, that makes no sense what this person told you.
In order to be a Vegan oneself MUST follow vegan rule, not everyone around him/her.
That would be like saying in-order for you to be a vegan all of your friends MUST be vegans. It just isn’t so.
A Vegan can own an animal and feed them whatever they wish, whether it be plain old dog food, wet food, human food or steaks. What the Vegan person decides to feed his or her pet will not effect what they are.

Further note, most vegans don’t eat meat because they don’t believe in the killing of the animal and that’s because as a human we have evolved more and have many options on buying or getting out food. Vegan’s also understand that animals have not yet evolved so they have no choice on how they get their food and like almost all animals, they DO NOT KNOW the difference from right and wrong when it comes to eating, making them excused from Vegan ways and tradition.

Hope this helped you out.
