Exercise, drink water, avoid sugary stuff. Eat several small meals per day instead of three large meals.

Don’t expect to lose 50 lbs though. Shoot for 2 lbs per week.

I have been a vegan for about ten years, but I am considering eating fish and eggs again because I have been craving them lately.

Answer:

Answer by hello there
yes, i have been a vegetarian for 5 months, i know it’s very less time but i got back to eating meat bcoz being a vegetarian was boring, there were no varieties, and i always felt weak and craved for more, plus u always want more when it’s cold, and only meat can help. it seemed like HEAVEN when i got back eating meat! U have lot more choice and u’ll feel great. but ten years is a long time, i don’t think u should start with fish.. eggs maybe ok! i started with chicken bcoz that’s what i like and it was soooo gud. =D

If people tell me I’m tiny all the time, why do I still feel fat?

Question: If people tell me I’m tiny all the time, why do I still feel fat?
I’m 5’4″ and 115 pounds….I am always thinking “if I could only lose 10 pounds, 7 pounds, etc..” I hate my body; I think my thighs and knees and stomach and pretty much EVERYTHING is fat. Then I thought “maybe I just need to tone up…then I’ll feel better about my body”, so I started running on the treadmill every day…THEN I blew my knee out doing that, and I couldn’t exercise for a week and gained back the 3 pounds I had lost. Now I’m doing the elliptical machine (which I HATE, but it’s better than nothing), and I’m trying to eat like 1200 calories per day. I just feel like I will never be thin like I want to be….I feel like I will always feel fat and be ashamed of my body. I eat nothing but low-calorie healthy foods, I exercise 6 days a week, but my fat thighs are always always always there, every time I look down. What should I do? I want to be really thin, but I don’t want to starve myself because I know that I will just be “skinny fat” if I do that.

Question: Pregnancy craving! Spicy and indian food all the time! Why? any gender indication for that?
Hey
I’m 6 weeks pregnant. all i think of is indian food and spicy food. I used to eat indian cuisin but normally from time to time. Now ive been eating almost daily!! Is it normal have any1 experienced it? and is it ok to have such food “mild spicy” for the baby? or does it harm him in anyway? especially Im in my 1st trimester. And also, some ppl told me this kind of craving could be an indication of the child gender. Can you share your experience or any information you know with me? I’m totally new in this.

thanks:)

Answer by Skyler
Pregnant cravings can vary, very differently. I have heard some cases where women would eat dirt!

The reason you crave Indian, and spicy foods; is because your body needs the nourishment it gives you.

i.e. Dirt actually has some types of minerals that is beneficial to our bodies :p

Is it weird to make pasta and vegetarian meatballs for first time dinner guests?

Question: Is it weird to make pasta and vegetarian meatballs for first time dinner guests?
We had a couple over for dinner for the first time tonight and I asked them beforehand what they do not eat and they said Pork and Veal. So I decided to make pasta and vegetarian meatballs because I personally am not a huge fan of meat and my husband eats anything. Now, would you think that people you go to dinner to, and they surprise you with pasta and vegetarian meatballs (versus real meatballs) are weird people?
They are NOT vegetarian.

I’d make real meatballs, but I doubt they will care if they are vegetarian.

you can start the weight training, at the same time as adjusting your diet. that way you will tone up and build muscle. having a higher muscle % will help you lose weight as it will increase your metabolic rate.

Q&A: Stupid first time mommy needs HELP!?

Question: Stupid first time mommy needs HELP!?
OK, I have an 8 month old son who is breastfed. He used to love solids until about 1 1/2 months ago he got sick and only wanted to nurse. After he got better he never really took back to solids and it’s been a constant battle to get him to eat anything other than breast milk. He has 7 teeth so I let him eat things like Gerber yogurt melts and puffs and cheerios but not very much. When he eats things like pears or apples he will suck on them and keep them tucked in his cheeks until it falls out, I dig it out or he sips some water or nurses and swallows it down. I (unfortunately) live with my parents right now and my mom is CONSTANTLY telling me I need to feed my son more because “He’s SO hungry”. She’s been doing this since he started solids and it drives me crazy. She will feed him yo baby (the only “baby food” he likes) and he’ll eat it all but then spit it all back up. I just don’t really feel like he’s ready for big boy foods yet but I’m not really sure WHEN he’ll be ready. My mom keeps saying he needs to start eating now because he needs it and he’ll learn how to swallow it later. I’m so frustrated!

Anyway, the main reason I’m so frustrated is because I’ve read two totally different approaches to feeding babies this age and I don’t know which one is right.
#1 – My mom’s approach – He needs to be eating everything I’m eating and the only things he shouldn’t have are the obvious things (peanut butter, honey, shellfish, etc.). He needs to be eating 3 square meals a day and only nursing at nap times and bedtimes.

#2 – The one I’m leaning more towards – He is still ONLY 8 months old and his main source of nutrition is still breast milk. Nurse on demand and supplement (if HE wants to) with solids. If he goes a day without eating anything but breast milk, no big deal! If he wants to eat my entire avocado sandwich and still nurse around the clock, great!

Which one is right? HELP please and thanks!
