Question: Can you suggest some ways to be a vegan clothing shopper?
I recently became a vegan and I want to apply what I do in my food lifestyle to my clothing lifestyle. What are some good brands of clothes that do not use animal products?
Are there any good websites out there to become more educated on this matter?

VEGAN EATING
Good.
VEGAN CLOTHES
Alright, this isn’t a severe issue. Skip the leather, furs, and you’re good. Hey, that makes me a Vegan Clothes-Wearer too
ALSO
Consider using household products not tested on animals. Stuff like some chemicals (if you can help it) shampoos, soaps, etc. Talk to your wife, girlfriend, etc. seeing as women tend to use a lot of stuff that may have been tested on animals

Good ways to TRY to induce labor?
Question: Good ways to TRY to induce labor?
I am at the ?end? of my 4th pregnancy, and it has been SOOOO much tougher than my previous 3. I am 38 weeks now. At 37 weeks I was 2cm dilated (which doesn’t say much since I’ve vaginally delivered 3 children prior), and my little boy’s head was far down. Hubby & I had tried sex the night before to ripen my cervix before my appt, but obviously that did no good. Haha. My next appt is in 2 days and Doc says if I’m at least a 3 or 4 she’ll do a membrane scrape, which I had with my last 2 at 37 & 38 weeks. Before pregnancy I weighed 103 at 5′ tall, so I’m miserable at this point. I have lower back pain, cervical & rectal pressure that are BOTH ungodly painful, and I have daily contractions that have lead nowhere for the last 2 months.
My nipples are extremely sensitive to touch, so nipple stimulation is a no go. Maybe a breast pump? Spicy foods and the other “food” wives tales were a joke, but I tried anyway. And Sex? Well sex is awkward now… Positioning is very complicated with the belly, and that just makes it hard to keep the mood for either of us. Especially when the word “ouch” comes out every 20 seconds. Lol. I’m stuck here. I know I can wait 2 days and I will never think of it again once Baby Connor is here, but if I’m not dilated enough I have to wait ANOTHER week after.
So… Any tips to help start good, strong contractions & dilation?
As much fun as my lil sis & I had a few years ago walking around the neighborhood at 2am… It actually calmed my contractions and made them ease away. Lol. Every time contractions started we’d walk around, see who was awake, chase off stray cats, etc. But it never worked. Maybe with this one it could, but I’m usually too uncomfortable to walk. Lol

Use a birthing ball, or a big exercise ball and just sit and lightly bounce. I know it sounds crazy but it worked for me and I didn’t even realize it. I was honestly just sitting on mine because we had company and I was to big to sit in the recliner comfortably. Within 6 hours my water had broke and 18 hours later I had my son.

Well I have no tried any suggested exercises for inducing, but I HAVE tried pineapple. I’ve been sharing with my boys all week. Lol. And I know baby will come when he feels he’s ready, but Mommy’s ready now.
I’m just not very patient this time. I’m in so much pain and I’m so uncomfortable it’s not funny. I haven’t slept in my own bed for months because I couldn’t get comfy, and now the couch isn’t cutting it either. Haha. I will try more physical activity

Well don’t go the Castor Oil route. It will make you sick.
Try a long walk, spicy food, walking up stairs, or a few squats.
But the baby will come when the baby will come theres only so much you can do.

I have been a vegetarian for almost two years now. I’m not getting enough protein in my diet. (I am a thirteen year old girl.) I have tried protein powders that supply enough protein, but they taste nasty. Protein shakes and snack bars are too expensive for me. What are some things I can do to add protein without eating meat?

What are some easy ways to become vegetarian?
Question: What are some easy ways to become vegetarian?
I have been thinking about going vegetarian for a long time now.
I just hate having animals killed for my satisfaction.
But right now, I fully eat meat and also veal, but I seriously had no idea what veal was until now.
I just thought it’s basically just lamb.
I’m only 14, so I need BABY steps and super easy ways.

Well, it’s not really hard, it’s just a matter of not eating meat.
If you feel you can’t quit the turkey cold turkey, just start increasing your vegetables and other sources of protien like beans, seeds, nuts, etc. and start reducing your intake of meat.
Maybe cut out one type of meat at a time, like one month cut out all beef, next month all pork, etc… until you cut out chicken and fish and things made with chicken or beef broth and gelatin and stuff like that… basically anything made with any type of animal flesh (including seafood & birds, which sometimes people unfortunately think vegetarians eat, but they don’t).
You really do have to eat beans, seeds, veggies, etc… a balanced diet. You can’t just be a vegetarian living on pasta and cheese pizza, you’ll end up harming your health.

You don’t suddenly have to be living on salads if you’re a vegetarian. You would eat the same amount of fresh veggies as always, but for fat and protein, you’d be getting vegetable oils and proteins.
Legume and whole grain combinations (eg brown rice and beans, or hummus on whole wheat bread) are good for you and usually pretty cheap. You can also eat nuts. Tofu isn’t too pricey. And if you don’t go vegan, you still have all the milk products (though much of the yogurt has gelatin in it) and eggs to eat.
For vegetables, try the frozen vegetable aisle for things you plan to cook anyway. Unlike canned veggies, they retain most of their vitamins and they are less expensive than fresh ones.

Does being vegetarian restricts you in some ways?
Question: Does being vegetarian restricts you in some ways?
I mean, because most of the people around are non-vegetarian, so you can’t eat/share with them.
Secondly, I don’t lke the smell of meat and neither do I want to touch meat, but most of the girls around are non-veg( especially Japanese, Korean etc), so despite liking these girls physically, I can’t kiss or have sex with them. So being vegetarian is restricting my romantic life. Do you have any solution?
Answer:
Answer by tiny dancer
I don’t have a soloution. I think being vegetarian/vegan is restricting, but in a good way. I don’t want to be romantically involved with someone who consumes flesh, so I think it is good that it turns me off.
Trust your instincts and go with them. You WILL find someone who shares your beliefs. In some areas, it’s downright important to. Good luck!
